Human Rights

Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms to which all individuals are entitled, regardless of nationality, sex, ethnicity, religion, or any other status. They are founded on principles of dignity, equality, and respect, and they encompass a wide range of rights, including civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. Human rights are often enshrined in international laws and treaties, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), adopted by the United Nations in 1948. These rights include, but are not limited to, the right to life and security, freedom of speech, the right to education, and the right to work. The concept emphasizes that human rights are universal, inalienable, and indivisible, meaning they cannot be taken away and are interdependent. Human rights serve as a foundation for social justice, and the protection and promotion of these rights are essential for fostering peace and dignity in societies worldwide.
